The Contrada Blandano is a robust concentrated red wine that offers up red fruit notes of raspberry, strawberry and cherry, along with dried fruit notes of fig, raisin, blackberry and apricot. There are additional notes of smoky flint, along with leather, earth notes and a bit of pencil graphite.

The de Aetna is almost Nebbiolo like, a characteristic often found in Nerello Mascalese wines. It has well ripened, but grippy tannins, featuring red fruit notes cherry, strawberry and raspberry, along with element of coffee, chocolate, sandalwood and tobacco. There are leather notes, some wet stone minerality, along with dried mushroom and earth notes. It’s a complex, layered wine that will pair with a wide variety of meat or pasta dishes.
